Britain was mainly interested in Kenya’s resources so the British set up a railroad Mombasa to Lake Victoria to transport cotton and other materials from the Lake to the Indian Ocean, or the other way around. The British had ports in Mombasa which was a way to send materials from the farms, or ranches to british factories. The British also built roads to transport goods from town to town and city to city. It made it easier for carriages carrying the goods to travel since it was on a flat surface. Also, the fierce British scared the indians causing some of them to join together and create a group that will resist the British. They called themselves the Mau Mau, and were known for violently attacking small British communities to protest them being in Kenya and making a new government.
