Christianity versus Islam Christianity and Islam are both very different religions, or as many people call them, worldviews. A worldview is a pattern of ideas but also a pattern of beliefs, convictions, and habits that help us make sense of God, the world, and our relationship of God and the world. While a worldview and a religion are very similar, they are also very different. A religion is a system of belief that attempts to define the nature of God and how human beings can understand and interact with the divine, any system of belief that prescribes certain responses to the existence (or nonexistence) of the divine. While a christian worships in a church or chapel, a muslim worships in a mosque. Christians read their holy book called the bible while muslims read their holy book called the Qur’an. There are many differences between the two of them, but there are also many similarities between them. Christianity has the highest percentage of people studying it. It has approximately 2.2 billion people studying and following a christian lifestyle. As i stated earlier, they do all of their worship in a church, chapel, or even a cathedral. However, they do have a few similarities. One of which is they both believe that there is a hell and a paradise. They are both monotheistic so they don’t believe that anyone should worship many gods. They both believe in Jesus Christ and believed that he performed miracles. They also believe that Mary, the mother of Jesus, was a virgin, therefore Jesus was born miraculously. So overall, while Christianity and Islam both have their differences, they also have their similarities.
