Describe Your Career Research Paper

Throughout High School and college I didn't know what career path that I wanted to take. As a college student, I just gained the opportunity to express myself, to spread my wings and to go after my dream only to realize that I didn’t know what it was that I wanted to pursue. The pressure and expectation from everybody did not help the cause either. So I decided that I am going to pursue engineering because it is a profession that I could finish and get a job after 4 years, plus I had friends I knew that were also doing engineering. I attended an engineering seminar along with my friends to attain a better understanding of the job and what it entails to achieve the goal. The classes I needed to take to be an engineer required a lot of math and physics, and once if I became and engineer I would need to apply those subjects in the job. Through my observation I saw the hygienists perform cleanings, examine the patients for signs of oral diseases, and interacting with patients by educating them on ways to improve and maintain good oral health. That experience showed me that I am a hands-on learner and this type of daily interaction would make me happy in my long-term future. It also showed me that a dental Hygienist presents good qualities which are compassion and enjoying talking to people; two qualities that fit my personality.
