Persuasive Essay – Bad about Drinking Alcohol People have been drinking alcohol throughout the world from way before colonial times to the present times. Alcohol is harmful to many different things from our own body to the entire society. Alcohol is a menace that can harm your loved ones, and yourself. There are some people who think that drinking alcohol is nothing at all, well they are wrong. Alcohol is something that can kill people and harm their loved ones. Alcohol is the menace of the society; it destroys relationships, friendships, kills people, destroys the environment and most importantly, slowly kills the drinker.
Drinking Alcohol can affect the health of the drinker in several different ways, such ways that can affect the drinker to have pain throughout the body which can eventually lead to their death. Alcohol can be bad for a lot of things but alcohol is also “…bad for your blood pressure. Even modest amount of alcohol can cause blood pressure to rise, especially in older adults.”(“20 reasons...” par#2). A person with high blood pressure has a risk of getting Hypertension, which causes increased strain on the heart as it is working too hard to pump blood around the body. Therefore, getting the risk of having a heart attack or heart enlargement which can lead to a heart failure. Unlike food alcohol is quickly digested and it “…require time for digestion, alcohol needs no digestion and is quickly absorbed….absorbing a metabolizing before most other nutrients.”(“Alcohol” par# 5). As alcohol is absorbed in the small intestine, and it goes through the liver, brain, and other organs of your body. The damage that the alcohol leaves can last a lifetime. Alcohol doesn 't damage only your liver and brain, but it also damages your ability to walk and talk properly, to do the right thing
