Just because someone doesn’t love the same way as you do does not make them wrong or make them crazy, it makes them unique. Majority of people around the world feel that marriage should be between a man and a woman and that gays should not have that right because they believe being gay is morally wrong. If being gay is morally wrong then why are their gay people? That is like saying being white is morally wrong. People honestly who believe this don’t really stop and think outside the box and think that what is in the bible is right. If you look at the ethical reason behind why people believe that gay marriage is wrong, it is purely due to discrimination. There are no real reasons why gay marriage should not be allowed, there are only reasons based on opinions, and one's own bias reasoning.
When looking at gay marriage and deciding if it is right or wrong some people will be debating this for years. There are reasons why it may be considered wrong but again the Bible says that God loves all his children, but just like our parents, he does not have to agree to the choices they make. It is wrong to deny someone his or her basic human and civil rights, which is stated in the constitution. There are no easy ways out of this debate and determining whether it is right or wrong, but there is comprise that can happen with discussions on the subject. So who is right and who is wrong, to me it determines who you are and how you were raised. So after reading the facts and opinions, where do you stand on this social issue? So can someone really choose who they love?
The ethical theory that provides the best support for same-sex marriage is utilitarianism. Utilitarianism suggests that there is an obvious solution that is fair, and it may be one that appeals to common sense as well. If we can mix races, and people can get married just because why can’t homosexuals have the same right? What makes people so afraid of allowing

    My personal views on this issue changed a few years ago when watching the TV broadcast and something came up about the right for gays to marry. Previously I was personally indifferent but felt that marriage was as much a religious institution as a civil institution. After all, most marriages are performed by clergy and the majority are in religious settings. I felt that civil union met the needs of gays so why offend the religions? Then I saw an older woman interviewed and she had explained that she and her partner had been waiting 30 or 40 year for this day. They have lived together as a family and wanted to be married. That's about as successful as a married couple can be, still wanting to be married after all that time! And I thought, all Americans are entitled to their own pursuit of happiness. Gays who buy into a system of family values should have the same family rights as others. I also used to get grossed out when I hear same sex marriage, but then I look at Ellen DeGeneres, for example, she is the sweetest the person that could be.     I do not believe in the bible and I am allowed to marry in any church or place with open arms in the name of God. Everyone takes this argument to the bible, how many mothers kick their children out for being gay is growing everyday. 1 Timothy 5:8 Anyone who does not provide for their relatives, and especially for their own household, has denied the faith and is worse than an unbeliever. From what I have read online and from the parents words and what they have written they are christian. They are worse than an unbeliever, worse than me, And I believe that anybody can love no matter what race, religion, how old you are you can still love. What if being gay was normal and being straight was a sin? You would be sinning everyday and you know what you would feel. Bad you would wanna kill yourself, you wouldn't wanna be yourself anymore because everyone hates you. Or you would live through it and be the happiest person on the planet and nobody could stop you. The bible was written by a bunch of guys. People can not be made from clay, someone can not be made of dust. I went to church and I sang for people, I never paid attention to the pastor because well I did not believe in the bible.     Gay marriages have been one of the hottest and controversial topics in our society. There are still problems concerning this issue of homosexuality and gay marriages. Same sex marriages are legal in Hawaii, but in all other states couples must be of the opposite sex to form a marriage. Hawaii’s decision to legalize same sex marriages is considered a milestone victory for gays and may cause a ripple affect for similar action in other states. Those who support gay marriages justify their position by the concept of love. These supporters of gay marriages feel as though gay people are being deprived of their right to love.     Those are marriages are strictly between a man and a woman and marriage is a privilege, not a right. In bible it is often quotes that marriage is a union between a man and a woman. So in the case of Baker v. Nelson, the Supreme Court of Minnesota found that “the institution of marriage as a union of man and woman, uniquely involving the procreation and rearing of children within an family is as old as the book of Genesis” (Gay Marriage - ProCon.org).     The United States’ Declaration of Independence reads, “[We] hold these truths to be self evident, that all men are created equal, that they are endowed by their Creator with certain unalienable rights, that among these are life, liberty and the pursuit of happiness” and Abraham Lincoln in his Gettysburg Address furthers, “[the] [United States’] fathers brought forth on this continent a new nation, conceived in liberty and dedicated to the proposition that all men are created equal.” But in the United States today, not all are equal.
