How to make a grilled cheese sandwich

Abstract
The grilled cheese sandwich is a simple culinary delight, the warm gooey cheese dripping from inside the toasted bread, the aroma and the taste has made it a popular sandwich. It has been around since ancient times, it became popular in the US around the 1920’s during the depression years [ (Wikipedia) ]. Making a grilled cheese sandwich is a simple process and I will take you through it step by step.

Making a grilled cheese sandwich is not difficult, the first thing you will need to do is gather the following items. You will need bread, you can use any type of bread you want as long as it is sliced, because it will need to lay flat in a skillet. Next you will need cheese, there are so many different kinds, all having different flavors and melting qualities, and you can even combine different types for unique flavors. Other items you will need are a stove, skillet with lid, spatula, and cooking oil or butter. Once you have everything, the next thing you will do is place your skillet on the stove burner and warm it using a medium heat. You want the skillet to get nice and hot, but not so hot it burns or smokes. Once the skillet is heated, you will add your butter or oil, put in just enough to cover the cooking surface, a spoonful of oil or a pat of butter will do. If you prefer, a non stick skillet such as a ceramic coated can be used without adding oil or butter.
Your next step will be to make your sandwich by placing the cheese between two slices of bread. You will need to decide if you want the cheese to ooze out the sides or not, this will determine how much cheese to put between the bread. Remember the more cheese you use, the longer it takes to melt, and you may end up burning the bread.
Next you will put your sandwich in the hot skillet using the spatula, be careful not to get burned. As the sandwich cooks, you will want to hear a slight sizzle if you are using or oil or

of bread buttered on the outsides. A slice or two slices of cheese, depending on how awesome you want your sandwich to be. Also what is needed is plenty of butter, which helps the cheese, melt and prevents your bread from sticking to the pan. Flip the sandwich back and forth several times until the two slices of bread are browned and the cheese is gummy and melted. In the beginning the sandwich was not even a complete one. It started out as just one slice of bread as well as cheese on top. A grilled cheese can be eaten at any time of the day; normally people (especially children) eat it in the morning for breakfast or at noon for lunch. The grilled cheese has always been a quick and simple dish one could make at home. Various diners have included the sandwich to their menus. Ever get so hungry that you just want something quick and easy to eat? I know I do. One of my favorite things to get when I am feeling like I’m starving and can’t wait any longer to eat is a sandwich. But I don’t always choose the same kind of sandwich.
