If Professional Athletes Are Too Much Of A Sport?
Imagine someone risking their life for a sport. Examples of the opinions of if professional sports are too much of a risk to athletes’ health or not and why include SOURCE 1: Weighing the Risks, SOURCE 2: Let Them Play, and SOURCE 3: The Professionals’ Points of View. This essay is going to be about if sports are a risk to athletes' health. People should not be in aports because of there brain ( a concussion), the risk of not playing ever again, and since there are people wanting sports to be more safe.

To begin with, when people play sports they have a risk of there brain. In source 1, it states playing a sport can risk you life not only your brain. I think that aports are a cause of danger because i is true you can hurt really bad

In source 1 it states "One particular study looked at brain tissues of deceased NFL players. The researchers found a very high rate of a disease called CTE." What I think about this is that most of the time when you have a disease, you can't do the normal things you would naturally do, and football is one of them. Also in source 1 it states "The risks to the health and lives of players absolutely cannot justify any excitement that fans get from observing the sport." What I think about this statement is true because somepeople think all about sports and not about the players' health. And also from source 1 it states that auto racing is another risky sport and that if a driver loses control and hits anything it could disintergrate. What I think is that auto racing is very dangerous and should in a better format.

Furthermore, when people play sports they are wanting the sport to be more safe. In source 3 it states of all the football players listed have had an injury and want football to be more safe. What I think of this is that football should be more safe. They shouldn't have to tackle one another. Also it states in source 3 "These players’ attitudes regarding the sport actually highlight an important aspect of the current debate ." What I think of this is that there is a debate of if sports are dangerous or not but I do think that some sports are dangerous.

In conclusion, this essay was about the opinion of that sports are dangerous. I think that some sports are dangerous. I predict in the future that these sports are more safe. But never give up on what you love to

The research topic that I will be investigating is the relationship between high impact sports and their negative health effects, specifically the effort to make these sports safer. The research that I looked at in the past went slightly into the effects of these sports on children. It also made a point of criticizing society on why we feel the way that we do on this issue. Mainly, why we tend to care more about our health in regards to many other issues. The article Don't let kids Play Football, by Bennet Omalu does a good job of providing evidence and reasons on why not to let children play football. My current belief on this issue though is that while these sports have many negative effects, they are too ingrained in our culture to ban…

September 13, 2013, was sixteen year old Damon Janes’ last football game. Why, because he was pronounced dead in a local Buffalo hospital three days after that game. His cause of death, brain damage. Janes took numerous hits to the head during a varsity football game. He seemed perfectly healthy, but in actuality, he suffered brain swelling, bleeding, and bruising all resulting from numerous hits to the head while playing football. Janes was only one of the eight high school athletes who died in 2013 from the brain and spine injuries they suffered while playing high school football. In addition to brain trauma, heart conditions, asthma and heat stroke have contributed to three times more deaths in high school players than in college football; all of which may have been prevented. Since the early 1900s the game of football has continuously evolved in an effort to protect its players from injuries and fatalities. In fact, the rules and equipment changes over the years have done just that for college and NFL players. Sadly, according to a number of studies, this is not the case at the high school level where many of these fatalities could have been avoided. It’s time to make high school football as safe as college and professional football so the rewards outweigh the risks.…

The health benefits of athletics are clearly visible, such as weight loss and improved fitness, and it also prevents drug use. There is also the negative that in time your body breaks down from the pounding of a physical sport like football, and the ever present danger of injury from a freak accident like landing on a teammate’s foot during basketball, or like the way Alexander Montgomery tore his ACL simply jumping for a chest bump in celebration. Athletics are dangerous, but so is life. Athletics have many affects both direct and indirect which help an athlete’s health and in some cases other people across the planet.…

But when I watch sports, it hurts me that athletes risk their health for my pleasure. They are super humans but their increased stress and inevitable sports injuries make me somewhat sad. Sporting injuries are inherent in commercialized sport; otherwise nobody would pay our great athletes well. Yet, there should be limitations, for sport is good for us when it brings about positive emotions in both active and passive participants of sports events. Sport events take place everywhere and on a regular basis. Viewing sports is one of the popular pastime activities. It is the feeling of connectedness that sports create - with athletes, with different kinds of sports that are of interest to us, with sports achievements that we personally have missed in our lives. How good is sport for us?…

According to above two sports shows that dangerous sports have a major drawbacks and also in some cases it cost human life’s but my personal view argue that if all the dangerous sports can be done with high standards. For instance Formula 1 not causing much accidence after 2006 as compare to 1960 to 2002. Therefore dangerous sports also shows that with setting safety measures and appropriate high standards even very dangerous sports can be done without causing any incidence. The risks can be lessen and these sports are highly populated by more than a decade therefore cannot agree with the statement.…

Today many sports such as football, hockey, and mixed martial arts are regulated and are addressed by medical organizations in an effort to improve safety and to reduce injuries. Some people argue that dangerous and violent sports should be banned completely because they can lead to injuries or violent behaviours. There is very little or no evidence to show that people who take part in dangerous sports become violent in the future. In my opinion, sports that may be considered to be violent or dangerous provide a healthy and physical outlet for aggression and act as stress reducers.…
