Mission Trip Experience
The one event that majorly impacted my life was the first mission trip I went on with my school, Indian Rocks Christian School. Every May the school sends teams of students and teachers to different places around the world, from right nearby in Florida to the other side of the world in Thailand. My ninth grade year I got the chance to travel to and spend a week working in Guatemala, with children, adults, and some time working construction, and it changed my view on life greatly. I met so many amazing people, and wonderful children, but I also saw another side of how people live and it opened my eyes. While in Guatemala, I was in a small group who were given the opportunity to visit families who the church helped. Their houses were barely held

    When I began to answer these questions myself, I started learning more about myself that I never really paid attention to before. For me, the most significant world event I have experienced was 9/11. Though I was very young, I remember my mom turning on the news and just starring in awe.
