My Perfect College

My Perfect College My perfect college has to have all of the things I want in it. It has to be a university with a great medical and health program. Also, it has to be located near a beach and city, and have plenty of school spirit. These attributes would make my dream college a perfect place to learn because it would be very connected campus-wide and be a fun and safe environment for students. A great medical program is essential for me because pharmacy is the field I want to major in (as of right now). Like the University of Maryland Baltimore County, my perfect college needs to have a School of Pharmacy because that would give me a better learning experience in the field. It is a building solely for the purpose of studying pharmacy and it was built to give students who were interested in it a place to learn about that field. Since my career choice is to be a pharmacist, my perfect college has to have this building so I could get more learning opportunities in this job field. So, it's very important that my dream college has a pharmacy school or an equally great medical program. Also, my perfect college has to have a great mascot filled with energy, enthusiasm, and a lot of spirit. At Oakland Mills, everyone has school spirit, from the teachers to the students to the parent volunteers. They all show it by wearing orange and black, going to football and basketball games, and just having OM pride. Spirit is needed in my college so it can be an uplifting place where students would want to study at. At sporting events, if our team is losing, we should still be cheering and the mascot should be jumping around and having fun. The mascot needs to make people laugh, smile, and boost their spirits if they are down. School spirit is important so everyone can feel connected with each other and so people want to actually learn classes at that school. My dream college should be close to the city, near the beach, and not far from

Yale appeals to me because of all the amazing opportunities that it offers. I'm looking to go onto medical school and I know after extensive research that Yale offers me the opportunities as a pre-med student that I need in order to make my dream of becoming a doctor a reality. Yale offers a great amount of assistance such as health professions advising, career advising, and tutoring which isn't something that all colleges usually prioritize so I genuinely appreciate it especially because I realize that being a pre-med student at any college will prove to be demanding and rigorous.…

Another reason I applied to UCF is "tradition". Ever since my family moved here from New York in 1995 I have witnessed firsthand the growth and transformation of UCF. Driving in the car down University Blvd with the gold and black banners hanging from the lampposts alerts you that you are entering the home of the Knights. From the alumni with their car flags to the students walking around the local malls in their UCF apparel, everyone is proud to be a "Knight". One of the biggest traditions at UCF is called the "Spirit Splash". This is a tradition that takes place during homecoming week and is one of the only times during the year that students, alumni, teachers, local residents and even pets can wade in the reflection pond on campus. Events like these "unite" a large university and make it seem like we all share something together.…

For colleges, Northwestern University is one of the schools that popped out to me the most. It's a beautiful campus and it is in Illinois so not far from home which is nice. That's the way I would like it. Many for the classes there are good to take to be in this field and has a great program. I have not been there personally, but I feel like I will like the environment of it. If I could find something in state that would be even better. I have not looked into that much, but I will definitely do that once I look more into the…

In the United States, there are more than 2,000 four-year colleges and universities. Many of these colleges offer excellent education opportunities and many do admit a large number of the students that apply. Every college is different, and they offer different courses to interest a variety of students. I am interested in nursing, so I am looking for a college that offers this program. So when I began my search for a college, I began to look at several different factors, size of the school and size of each class, the quality of the professors, good student involvement, the graduation rate, distance from home, and the cost. I want a college that offers most or all of these factors because college is expensive and I want to…

Since my first visit to UCLA, it had become my ultimate dream school. I chose UCLA because it is a diverse research university in the heart of Los Angeles; a school that has produced accomplished people; and I am looking for a rich experience and a journey for the creation of achievements. Being part of such a great school is an encouragement to always do better and carry on with a better education. It is a place where, in the future, I would look back and feel proud for being part of. One reason I want to get into an exceptional college is so that I can have a job that pays well. Without one, my family would not be able to afford necessities like food, shelter, clothing, and education. Also, with a high salary job, my family will be able to enjoy extra perks too. For example, we could afford to experience vacations and go out to eat more oftenly. With a job that pays well, I could contribute to society. I would be able to donate to charities, churches, and more. A job that pays well has many benefits, and to have one I need to make it into a superb college.…

In the end, I settled on Macalester College, a small liberal-arts school in Minnesota with a strong emphasis on internationalism and social action. It is certainly more mainstream than most of the schools that began my college search, but it is also intimate enough that I wouldn’t be able to slip through many cracks; it is located in a sizable metropolitan area where my learning would not be defined exclusively by campus boundaries; it is a place where hard questions are encouraged and expected; and its classes and dorms are well-represented by a diversity of backgrounds and perspectives. In hindsight, it was as good of a choice as any I could have made.…

As for which one, that is still undecided. The main reason why my choice of college is undecided is because my major is undecided. I do have it narrowed down to about two though, I either will major in art of some sort or I could end up majoring in one of the electronics field such as robotics. Another thing I have set a goal for in college is to be on a college bowling team. There are many colleges across America that offer bowling. I will need to keep this goal in mind as I do my school work, because if I work hard and keep up with my classes, college will be a piece of…

I lived in Canada for a long time of my life, then I returned to Texas in my Junior year of high school. The academics and classes in Canada had a passing grade of 60% and at that time all I thought about was passing. My top college was to attend the highly notable, University of Texas at Austin after high school. However, most of my classes did not count as transfer in part to the lower grades of 70%. My biggest mistake I made was not trying my hardest to get an overall high GPA to at least have a better chance to be admitted to a great school. Even when I moved back to Texas I started at a new school and I am not a social person so it was difficult for me to find a niche, however I had significantly improved grades even if it was not in…

Texas A&M, UT, Rice Universality those were the only schools I heard growing up. Everyone has a school of their dreams because growing up all they heard from schools was; if you want to make big money and be successful you have to go to college. The only thing wrong with that statement is that you don’t have to go to college in order to be successful or make money. School wasn't meant for everyone. Some people struggle with school and everyone pushes him to go to college and he doesn't have to money for that, so he has to get loans in order to pay for school and after he gets out he might not get a job in his major and now he has no job no money and has to pay a lot of loans out just because everyone around him told him to stay in school to get a better life. Some people like to work in manual labor; they can’t sit behind a desk and push papers around like other people.…
