We cannot run away from the fact that Sharks have been stereotyped to being these big and dangerous species that are feared by all humans. This species has been misrepresented in movies to be one of the most feared species in the ocean. We’re busting some shark myths that have been going on forever.
MYTH 1: Sharks are man-eaters
A negative perception of sharks is that they see humans as food which is not a fact. Most sharks prey on fish or invertebrates. It is said that sharks involved in incidents with humans ate often hunting for similar sized prey to humans, such as seals and dolphins. Most attacks on humans are usually mistakes due to poor water visibility. In most cases you will get more shark bites than fatalities.
