Stake holders are tenet to the development and performance of the organization without which the organization either cease or collapse completely. As such any organization must strive to identify its stakeholders and their specific needs and expectations. Stakeholders can be categorized in different categories depending on their significance and position to the organization Sharma & Starik, (23).The categories includes which includes Primary and secondary stakeholders, internal and external stakeholders and direct and indirect stakeholders. Primary stakeholders are directly affected by outcomes of the organization and have the major interest in success of a project. End users of the products for example customers are primary stake holders. Equally some project sponsors such as project managers and team members play the same role of primary stakeholders (Sharma & Starik, 48). On the other hand, internal stakeholders are those that are directly concerned in developing the project. They authorize and manage the development of the project by implementing the plan. They include the supervisors, human resource managers etc. External stakeholders usually have responsibility of supplying elements needed for the projects. They include venders, suppliers etc. Lastly direct stakeholders are directly involved in day to day activity of project. They are the core operators who make the products (Sharma & Starik 67).Teachers for example are core operators in school organization. At the same time indirect stakeholders are not involved with the manufacturing of the product but they are the end users.
