The Trip
The Trip Hello, my name is Harry Bailey and I have recently went on a trip to Canterbury with 29 very unique pilgrims. The trip was interesting and exciting to say the least. I definitely enjoyed meeting and interacting with these pilgrims and having the opportunity The weather could not decide between sunny or rainy on most days, but no matter what it was it was always hot. Some of the pilgrims came on the trip with impairments, but got the chance to get them fixed. The cook was able to get his knee fixed, the wife of bath is able to hear through her ear again, but we couldn’t find anybody to help with the summoner’s warts. He was unsurprisingly upset by that and caused tension between him, the cook, and the wife of bath. The Knight and Parson really enjoyed each other’s company which does not surprise me. They are the two men are admire the most out of the 29 pilgrims. The Knights respects the parson for practicing what he preaches and being the only devout churchmen. The Parson respects the Knight for being a brave, experienced Christian knight and following the code of chivalry which most knights tend not to follow. They talked about the Knight’s fifteen great crusades and the parson’s small, yet sizable town. Their relationship was the opposite of the Miller and Wife of Bath relationship. The Miller and Wife of Bath did not get along at all. They were constantly arguing and got on the nerves of the other pilgrims. It all started because the Miller made very inappropriate jokes towards the Wife of Bath. She was very hurt by his jokes and decided not to talk to him, but when he told his story about women then she could not take no more and suddenly slapped the Miller. He was outraged and even tried to hit her, but the Knight and Squire stepped in to stop him before things got out of control. Since then they have been bickering at each other nonstop and the Miller has even made threatening threats at her. The Miller had the worst story of them all by

Throughout both of these people’s stories, difficult situations arise in which they are both able to find peace and overcome due to their Puritanism faith. Mary Rowlandosn, a colonist from Lancaster, was kidnapped from her town along with her children by the Wampanoag tribe. Mary experienced hardships due to the strenuous traveling pace and lack of nourishment she faced as a prisoner. She was able to find admirations in this situation by realizing that God was still providing for her through these tough times by providing food, shelter, and friendly captives. William Bradford, a colonist who traveled over on the mayflower in order to freely worship God the way he wanted. He experienced extremely tough times during the trip over to the New World by losing his wife. Bradford also faced tough times when trying to rule the new colonist because of their non-Puritanism actions. In the summertime 2008 when I got my 99’ Dodge Intrepid back from the previous accident, I begun my road trip to Yellowstone National Park in early morning. As I drove down the road, I soon realized that I had never been anywhere alone before. This was a new feeling for me, one of strength and fear rolled into one. My trip was nerve wrecking because I faced a certain problems with my car that I have never experienced before, but it taught me a lot about how to maintain my car.…
