Job Analysis/Job Description This paper will look at the Job Analysis and Job descriptions of the franchise stores Subway. The author will make a comparison of Subway’s job positions and performing a job analysis of each position. There will be a description of collecting the information of the job analysis. The author will also create a job description from the job analysis, and the justification of why that job analysis and job description are in compliance with state and federal regulations.
Job Positions and Job Analysis In the episode of Undercover Boss, there were only three job positions that were identified which were the Sandwich Artist, Store Manager, and the Chief Development Officer. The two positions that are chosen for the comparisons will be the Sandwich Artist and the Store Manager. The reason why these two were selected is because they work closely with each other. The reason for this belief is that according to Melendez and Surbey (2013),The U.S. Department of Labor 's Wage and Hour Division and the franchisor of the world 's largest restaurant chain are collaborating to increase compliance with federal labor laws at SUBWAY locations nationwide. Although these restaurants are independently owned and operated, the franchisor is providing a forum and resources to assist the division in educating franchisees. Subway does this across the board at each restaurant even though most of these businesses are franchisee stores. Subway is making a conscience effort to ensure that they stay in compliance with local and federal labor
