The Importance Of Stereotyping

Stereotyping is a concept that should be know and not be used in the professional environment or even a personal environment. As human service professionals it is important that all personal feelings, beliefs, and values are put aside so that the main focus is on the client without any prejudice.
Non-verbal communication is also a great skill that will allow barriers to be overcome and give more opportunities to be able to help an individual from another culture. There are so many forms of non-verbal communication that as human service professionals it is important for us to keep educated so that we are the most up to date and do not have an issue overcoming the barriers that are put before us.
